About SnoutScore
SnoutScore is an independent buying-guide site for smart pet technology — GPS trackers, automatic feeders, cameras, smart doors and health monitors.
How we choose what to recommend
We do not run a test lab, and we do not claim to. Every guide is built from manufacturer specifications and manuals, the current retail listings, the published subscription and firmware terms, and a wide read of owner reports — including the one-star ones, which is where clogged hoppers, dropped GPS fixes and dead batteries actually surface.
Where a number matters — toss distance, hopper capacity, battery life, the price of a plan — we report what the manufacturer states and when we last checked it, rather than presenting it as something we measured ourselves. Where the sources disagree or the evidence is thin, we say so instead of naming a winner anyway.
Editorial independence
Our recommendations are based on performance alone. We are not paid by manufacturers or retailers, and no brand can buy a place in our rankings.
